The Jones

A casual all-day cafe aimed at locals, The Jones—from the team behind Jeffrey’s Grocery and Fairfax—offers a fresh take on seafood and vegetable-focused dishes with an emphasis on clean, bright and light flavors. The space, much like the food, is light and bright with a mix of seating options that include spots at the bar, a communal table, and benches that line one side of the room. For breakfast, we recommend the smoked bluefish tartine; the tortilla; and any of the pastries. For lunch, a few favorites include the tuna carpaccio with olive oil, arugula, fried capers; the filet o’fish, which word has it was inspired by McDonald’s fish fillet; and the poached head-on prawns with housemade mayo and lemon.
