WHAT WOULD THE TITLE OF YOUR AUTOBIOGRAPHY BE?
I don’t think I will ever write an autobiography. However, I would love to be remembered for beautiful roles in films with an aesthetic and ethical value to them, for my social work and, who knows, for a possible future role as a mother and wife too.
WHAT CAN’T YOU LIVE WITHOUT AND WHY?
My family, who lives between New York and Italy, my boyfriend Tommy who is the love of my life, and Amanda, my “ultimate” friend: these people are a big part of who I am and I love them with all my heart. But if I have to be a little superficial, I also cannot live without physical exercise: I like to feel strong!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TRAVEL DESTINATION?
I love discovering new places and I am definitely not a “beach person.” My ideal trip would be backpacking in exotic places, researching the history and culture. An unforgettable trip for me was traveling aboard the Trans-Siberian train from Moscow to Beijing, while horseback riding through Mongolia in the desert.
IF YOU COULD CHOOSE ONE PERSON TO SHOW YOU “THEIR NEW YORK CITY,” WHO WOULD IT BE?
Many people would probably pick Woody Allen’s New York or the days of the Warhol Factory, but I would actually like to see New York through the eyes of a child who has never been here, or someone who embraced the freedom of a life as a vagabond.
WHAT OR WHO INSPIRED YOU RECENTLY AND WHY?
I get inspired every day by different people and different works of art or books. I always say that one of the people who inspired me the most is my sister Madeleine, who is 16 and has Down Syndrome. I admire her spontaneity and the fact that she is always living in the moment! I find it really incredible! My fiancée Tommaso, who is a director, is another source of inspiration. He often tickles my intellectual curiosity through conversation as well as his high rationality.
